SMA Calls on Senate to Advance Bipartisan Permitting Reform

Today, the Steel Manufacturers Association sent a letter to the Senate urging the prompt consideration of bipartisan permitting reform legislation.

“SMA applauds both committees and their members for working across the aisle to develop meaningful solutions to the permitting challenges facing manufacturers, energy producers and infrastructure projects across the country,” said SMA Executive Vice President Brandon Farris. “Reforms that provide greater certainty and predictability in the federal permitting process will encourage capital investment, create good-paying American jobs, strengthen energy reliability and affordability.”
