SMA Chairman Barry Schneider, president of Steel Dynamics Inc., has been named 2025 Steel Executive of the Year by the Association of Metals Processors and Distributors, an affiliate of the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association.
The award was created in 1956 by to recognize men and women “who have made lasting contributions to the industry over a significant period of time.”
Schneider joined Steel Dynamics in 1995. He was elected chairman of the Steel Manufacturers Association last month.
