SMA Participates in House Briefing on the Connected Vehicles Security Act

Today, SMA Executive Vice President Brandon Farris joined Securing America’s Future Energy (SAFE) for a Congressional briefing on “Connected Vehicle Security Act: Defending America’s Arsenal from Adversaries,” highlighting the threats Chinese automakers pose to domestic supply chains.

“Chinese automakers would use their own steel and state-backed supply chains,” said Farris. “Every car they sell here is a sale lost for a U.S. automaker and demand lost for the American steel mills our country depends on. This is just one more way for China to flood our market with unfairly traded materials and take away American jobs and production.”
