Today, Jason Alexander, a welder and millwright at Optimus Steel, testified before the House Ways & Means Committee on the positive impact the Working Families Tax Cuts are having on American workers and their families.

During his testimony, Alexander highlighted how the tax cuts have made a meaningful difference for him and his family. He testified that no tax on overtime allowed him to keep more of his hard-earned income this tax season, providing greater financial stability and rewarding the extra hours he put in on the job.

Alexander emphasized that the overtime worked by steelmakers like himself not only supports their families and communities, but also strengthens domestic manufacturing capacity and reinforces U.S. national security by ensuring America can continue producing critical steel at home.
